What Impact can a Startup have?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We are a Startup that started with Food Traceability\u2026and ended up with Food Wastage and Logistic\u2026are we making full cycle of goods, are we making change or impact? \u2013 or just we are one step ahead and working on first Crowdfunding platform for Agriculture?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hm\u2026nice?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201c\u2026Let\u2019s talk about it\u201d – numbers:<\/p>\n

Boring, again? Sounds like MGK VS E\u2026.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

1.3b tons of food goes to waste every year! That is 1\/3 of the total food produced in the world.<\/p>\n

What are we producing, who is producing, where it is produced, what is going to waste?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Which amounts to wasting 400$bn dollars!<\/p>\n

Really, somebody pays for that and that waste it? OMG<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In retail, most people would think disease or rotten food would be the primary wastage problem, some kind of QC (Quality control)<\/strong>\u00a0issues.<\/p>\n

Yes, I am thinking that, don\u2019t want to pay for something that can\u2019t even pass QC of retail! \u2013 so every Retail has independent QC? \u2013 Nice!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But that is only in 30% of the cases.<\/p>\n

What can be the rest?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Reality is that remaining 70% is due to wrong labeling, broken boxes, broken EU pallets and other nonfood related reasons.<\/p>\n

Hm\u2026really? \u2013 is it? Who is checking this? Probably QC and some warehouse manager?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To tackle FW (food wastage), we created VeeMee<\/a> – an online marketplace platform that\u00a0connects local farmers, suppliers and retailers.<\/h2>\n

They tackle FW, nice \ud83d\ude0a\u2026connecting who? They must charge this?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We offer optimal logistics and storage services \u2013 which covers loading and unloading, quality control and label checking.<\/p>\n

And all others do? \u2013 google:\u00a0\u201cloading and unloading, quality control and label in Croatia and Slovenia\u201d; Hm\u2026nothing useful, but I could find something<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A service to reduce food wastage by reselecting, reorganizing, relabeling and then redirecting returned food to retail, outlets and wholesale markets. All good are prepared as I and II class to provide best market and price for it \u2013 and with all that reduce food wastage.<\/p>\n

I am eating reselected goods? \u2013 am I ok? \u2013 but I pay for its full price<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And active consulting \u2013 to empower the local farmer and supplier<\/p>\n

They make money on this, are they?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In VeeMee we focus on the full cycle:<\/p>\n

\u2026oh, the story of cycle of life? \u2013 or this is something else<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We reselect, reorganize, relabel and finally enable transport and storage for all the food that was returned not only because of disease or food being rotten, but also for being mismanaged.<\/p>\n

They do what? \u2013 with food<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How do we do it? Delivered goods that need to be recalled, are sent to our warehouse, we reselect, relabel and reorganize the goods and either return them or find a new use case for them, which in the end the end consumers receive.<\/p>\n

Simple, they just showed Business Model to us, everybody can use it. Can we?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In the past 6 months VeeMee serviced 500t of goods, 80t out of that were supposed to be wasted, because of previous mentioned reasons. We ended up wasting only 5t.<\/p>\n

Nice, they have done something.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Which was only possible because of our traceability procedures we implemented – more precisely using producer identity tags – PID.\u00a0By introducing them we empowered the local farmer while also providing transparency to the end consumer.<\/p>\n

We have labels, but who is reading them? Should we read it? Or this is some digital, that we click on?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Because of this, combined with our platform, farmers sell quicker, better and more, and end consumers now know what they are buying and more importantly where it came from.<\/p>\n

They are making some money on it? Are they, or it is free?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And our early adopters recognized this…. And those 80t we saved are only a fraction of what we can do, as the current addressable market is 50mil.<\/p>\n

Who is supporting them? Can I support this? How?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
