In the small Zagorje town of Sekiri\u0161\u0107e, in the municipality of Sveti Kri\u017e Za\u010dretje, in addition to nature that pleases the eyes, there is also something that will delight every palate. Mr. Branko Kve\u017e started his special family farm story there, and discover why it is special in a new article<\/em><\/p>\n

The late father, in the village and beyond, was a famous Zagorje butcher. From an early age, Mr. Kve\u017e helped his father in his work, so it was logical that he would follow in his footsteps, right?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Maybe not. Being a butcher is not a job that everyone would enjoy, want, and do well, but years of experience have crystallized the virtues of this job<\/strong> for Mr. Branko and with Croatia’s entry into the European Union, he decided to start a meat story that will be in line with all European standards.<\/p>\n

When he decided to develop his business in the meat industry, he had to decide whether he wanted to resell live cattle or process pigs into cured meat products. As there was no facility in Zagorje for the processing of traditional Zagorje cured meat products, this was a real opportunity for the Kve\u017e family.<\/p>\n

They took the opportunity, opened the first facility for processing traditional Zagorje cured meat products, and then added pumpkins to the story.<\/strong> Yes, you read that right. In addition to producing real cured meat delicacies, you will also find pumpkin oil in their range. Wondering how pumpkin oil and pork processing go together?<\/p>\n

\"OPG<\/p>\n

Due to their high carbohydrate content, pumpkins and squash are often used as food for cows, pigs, and sheep. Before slaughter, pigs need to be fattened well and with quality, and what is a better way to do that than by producing pumpkins yourself? In addition to “meat”, pumpkins also contain seeds, and in order to throw nothing away in the production, Mr. Branko decided to produce pumpkin oil.<\/p>\n

As we stated in the title, nothing is thrown away in this Zagorje family farm. This is where its uniqueness lies and, accordingly, it gets the epithet of a zero-waste manufacturer.<\/h2>\n

In addition to being characterized by zero-waste production, all raw materials used in production are of Croatian origin. So, in addition to being the custodians of domestic production, their products meet all the criteria for obtaining their own VeeMee QR code<\/strong>, which we believe will soon adorn them.<\/p>\n

Pumpkin oil, homemade sausages, excellent bacon, buncek, cracklings, hams, blood sausages, and other dried delicacies for true gourmets, you can find at fairs in Zlatar, Krapina, Velika Gorica, and Oroslavje.<\/p>\n
