The Černek family inherited the culture of production from their ancestors and has a long tradition of olive growing in the area of Sovinjak near Buzet.
Olive oil of this region is mentioned in the early Middle Ages.
Olive groves are grown on terraced terrains of marl and sandstone at 210-290 m above sea level at the northernmost continental points of the peninsula. We process olives with advanced technology in our own oil mill “Torkop”. The fruits are harvested in early October and processed on the same day.
