The Kotiščak family from Sesvete Ludbreški has been engaged in beekeeping for many years, more precisely through four generations, i.e. more than 100 years. Danijela’s great-grandfather Josip started beekeeping. He had several weavers, and Danijela’s parents brought beekeeping to its current level. We currently keep bees with 220 hives that we transport almost all over Croatia, from Ludbreške šume to Posavina, Slavonia and Lika. We carry out the migration of bees at night when all the bees are in their hives, and often it lasts the whole night. That is why we offer seven types of honey: amorphous, acacia, floral, chestnut, linden, mint and forest – medljika. Each type is from a different part of our beautiful homeland. We have won numerous awards for the quality of honey in Croatia and abroad.
The whole family is involved in beekeeping, and even the youngest family members help out.
In addition to beekeeping, we also do farming, and we sow various crops. So, in addition to honey and bee products such as propolis, chocolate honey, honey immunoboost and handmade beeswax candles, we also offer pumpkin seed oil, homemade buckwheat porridge and flour, corn flour and potatoes. We also pack our products in beautiful gift packages that are an excellent choice for gifts on various occasions.
We sell our products at home in our sales and exhibition space “Čmelica”, every Saturday at Varaždin Square and at various fairs
