OPG Krog Josip

OPG Krog Josip is a family farm with two educated beekeepers who are helped by all other family members. We have been engaged in beekeeping for 26 years. We are migrating beekeepers.

We have two stationed beehives in the Krapina-Zagorje County, in the village of Štuparje and in Prigorje. From bee products, we offer top quality honey (Zagorje acacia honey, flower honey, chestnut honey, linden honey and sunflower honey). We produce royal jelly which is the pinnacle of bee products. Two years ago we planted a plantation of chokeberry and hazelnut.

At the honey evaluations of Krapina-Zagorje County from 2002-2019. the year we win gold medals. Out of that, in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, we won the highest number of points for our Zagorje acacia honey, thus gaining the title of Exhibition Champion six times.

In 2018 and 2019, we participated in the International Honey Evaluation in Slovenia in Semič, Slovenia.

In 2018, out of 272 samples of honey, we won the title of a champion from abroad and we were second in the overall standings.

In 2019, we had second place again with acacia honey and won a gold medal. Beekeepers from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Switzerland and Canada participated in this evaluation.
